First-Time Questions

  • Members of the public typically bring items that are too bulky or not accepted in curbside bins. Below are some common examples.

    Make sure and see our prohibited items list so that you know what we DON’T accept too. Visit our Public page for more info.

    Bulky Household Waste
    Examples: Mattresses, box springs, rugs & furniture

    Construction & DIY Debris
    Examples: wood, drywall, bricks, roofing, tiles, & flooring

    Yard & Organic Waste
    Examples: Tree branches, grass clippings, & leaves

    Recyclables
    Examples: Glass, cans, & plastic

  • Our staff will do their best to help you to identify your material and ensure nothing is hazardous. But make sure and see our list of accepted material before you make the drive. 

  • No appointment is needed. Just show up during our open hours:

  • Most visits take 10–20 minutes. Make sure and check our website for the latest hours, especially during holidays.

  • For the public, mornings or late afternoon are usually the quickest. When traffic builds up, it’s usually because of the large commercial truck volume. 

  • Our current hours are posted here on our website (scroll up) and at the gate. Check before coming, especially on holidays.

  • It gives people a legal, convenient place to dispose of waste and helps reduce illegal dumping.

Material Questions

  • Unfortunately, we do NOT accept e-waste. Learn more about e-waste recycling here.

  • We do accept single-stream recycling and designed our system to keep this material separate from the general waste we transfer to landfills. All acceptable material is priced based on weight. Recyclables may be at a different rate than waste. Find out what is recyclable in Colorado. 

  • No. But we will take your metal, ferrous and non-ferrous, for processing at our other facilities in the Denver area or direct you to these locations.

Pricing & Payments

  • Fees are calculated by the weight of your load on certified scales. This keeps pricing fair and transparent.

  • Yes, there is a small minimum fee based on a weight of 1,500 lbs. This covers the cost of handling your load.

  • We accept common payment methods like credit and debit cards, cash, or a credit account (if applicable).

  • Yes. When you arrive, our staff can give you a rough idea based on what we see.

  • Yes. You’ll receive documentation for your records.

Rules & Safety Questions

  • You should be prepared to unload independently. But our staff are nearby to guide and direct you, as well as answer any questions you may have.

  • For safety reasons, children and pets should stay in the vehicle.

  • Yes. All loads must be covered and secured before arriving.
